What do I mean by this you may ask? Well, neither bot has a fully functioning tibia 11 bot. We know this for sure since DarkstaR has openly admitted to not developing it, but Lucas on the other hand has claimed its 100% done,but seeing as this post has been opened for months, and he claimed it'd be only about 2 weeks, I'm calling bullshit.

What would be the point of this lie?
Well very simple. By him saying he's got a bot working for tibia 11,he now has a full market of people from both bots coming over to learn how to use, script and develop for windbot prior to the tibia 11 "release." Lucas will sit on top of a fat sum of cash while actually not developing shit for the new client and once it's released will discontinue windbot, just like xenobot.

This is his last chance to cash in on a ton of people buying his product before he quits as well. I find it brilliant and people that switch to windbot for this already "completed" bot to be retarded. Good luck everyone, enjoy the Neverending releasing of windbot for tibia 11 while Lucas sucks in all the money he can to post delays

All in good time. We have been very close to ready for a long time and will release as soon we we feel we can. Progress has been fairly slow and I'm not sure why. I'll push for an update and see if we can get some more info out soon.

Yes and no. The new client updates automatically via a launcher. If you launch the client via client.exe instead of tibia.exe, the launcher doesn't run and so far, you have always been able to play using the old version of Tibia 11. If they patch this, and make it so you always have to be up to date, it will be a problem. If they don't patch it, this will actually make it a lot easier for botters to keep going after updates because they won't need an updated version of the bot instantly after the update.

DarkstaR has openly admitted to not wanting to develop for the new client for a number of reasons, the prevailing one is in my opinion that his current market share is miniscule... It would not make sense for him to invest the time to develop a bot for the new client (which he would have to do, his logic is very intertwined with Tibias own), unless he was going to make drastic changes to compete with the likes of WindBot (the more popular and more functional alternative). This is not related to the complexities of the new client, but it is related to the fact that he has very little, if any, code that he can re-use. XenoBot relies on knowing how functions inside of the client look and behave, WindBot just needs a little bit of information such as your location, health, creatures nearby, and it handles everything else itself. The difference in scale of update will be huge. Where WindBot will have an almost identical UI, XenoBot would need its UI to be completely rebuilt using some very complex functionality which would need reverse engineering.

Also, what is the point of the lie? It still doesn't make any sense that we would want to deceive customers like that. If we've no intention to update, we would gain a marginal amount more custom through doing so... But by comparison to who? Here are your options:

iBot:
They copy pasted our FAQ. They paid other people to develop "iBot++" for them. They copy pasted their UI... They basically did no work at all, and tried to sell the result. Whether they will release at all is the question in my mind there. However, for these purposes, they also claim to have something in the pipeline for Tibia 11.

XenoBot:
Nick already announced a lack of interest and I've no expectation for him to turn back on that decision.

RedBot Pro:

WindBot:
Plans in place to release a public beta, private betas already mostly functional, a few bits and pieces being tidied up.

It just doesn't make sense. We wouldn't be stealing customers from anyone, we wouldn't be benefiting at all. We have a refund policy which pretty much states outright that if we can't provide a functional bot for an existing client version, you'll get a refund... There is very little for us to gain by lying, and I don't quite know what makes you think we are really.

Also, perhaps the reason you don't share the faith of fellow forum users is that you don't know us so well. We have a history of spending excessive time developing products - if nothing else, you could call us perfectionists. It might also be worth noting that the new client is written using Qt. WindBot is also written in Qt. Lucas has vast experience of it and as such actually found the reverse engineering process considerably simpler than Nick, for instance, would have.

Im curious aswell about advancement of progress in dev works. Could you just set % procentage donness bar of whole project and update it from time to time, even if it goes backwards due to updates would give us more real informations.

99% done (Fully working, but small bugs with some functions), but however, It will not be released until/close to CIP killing off Tibia 10.

This due to preventing mass migration to Tibia 11 would make it easy for CIP to find out botters, aswell as due to Tibia 11 auto updating, so CIP don't try to sneak in something into the client.
