Total setting is as obvious as it gets: the total amount you're going to carry. Originally Posted by achilleos

If I got 1000 as Total MP, and I'm hunting on Isle of Strife with Shortcut enabled, I can leave my Hunt MP as 500 and it will skip refilling mana potions on the first refill but will refill at the second. If I'm hunting on a spawn that takes too long to reach it, like Demon Forge, if I have 1000 as Total MP I'll leave my Hunt MP as 950, so it will always refill mana potions.
