Dont insist so much in softs (x they equal 192SMP in 4 hours! wich means soft boots will give u 48SMP per hour at the cost of 35gp each 100 mana. So softs are a fucking overvalued item... in my server they cost 600k a pair i would have to play 1 year staright for the softboots pay themselfes...

Soft Boots are a great advantage on a low lvl mage because they make you save cap, but on high lvl they are useless you can barely notice the differente i waste 1200MP an hour and 72MP come from my softs... ridiculous...

I disagree a little with some of your numbers.

to be clear at first you are referring to strong manas. its true softs cost about 35gp per 100 mana. strong manas cost about 53gp per 100 mana.

by my calculations soft boots will save you 1.34k per hr over strong manas (this is a profit amount with charge cost subtracted).

when we are talking about scripts that make say 30k per hr (on a decent lvl, decent hunting grounds w/e), you are increasing your profit by 4.4%

It would take 447.8 hrs to pay off your softs.


all that said, i agree with you that softs are overvalued, by wearing them you lose the speed and/or damage reduction of other boots.
