As per the first post in this thread, no, we no longer check trials. It got to a point where too many people were trying to abuse the system. It's a decision between us manually checking hundreds of trial requests every day, thousands some days, or providing proper support and updates. We went with the latter. Some people have to suffer as they don't get a free trial, but I'm sure you'll understand it is in the interest of the community that we focus our efforts on our paying customers.
